Directions - What public transport can I catch?
Trains
Chatswood Station is located on Sydney’s North Shore Line. The clinic is a short walk of around 2 or 3 minutes from the Victoria Avenue exit.
Check Trip Planner before you leave for up-to-date information on line closures and track work.
Bus
We are a convenient 5-minute walk from Chatswood bus stop, which is located on Railway Street. Please check Sydney Buses for routes that service Westfield Chatswood and plan your trip.
Car
Our clinic is located opposite of Westfield Chatswood shopping center and the car park offers 3 hours of free parking once per day. Alternatively, free parking is also available at Mandarin Centre. Since street parking is usually a premium around the area, we recommend using public transport.
What should I expect in the first consultation?
The first consultation usually lasts one hour to allow practitioners to comprehensively check your health history and conduct a thorough health assessment using traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic methods – Observation, Listening, Interrogation, and Pulse-taking. Once assessed, the practitioner will provide you with an individual treatment plan, such as acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, etc.
Please take all your relevant medical reports as our practitioners could be able to use them as part of the assessment.
What is our COVID policy?
We recognise the threat COVID presents to our practitioners, visitors, and the wider community. As such, we are extra vigilant and intent on keeping everyone safe and undertake responsible and sensible measures to minimise chance of spreading the disease.
All visitors upon entry would need to show a record of being fully vaccinated (2 COVID jabs). For people unable to provide vaccination record, negative test result from the last 48 hours is also accepted.
We are also enacting a COVID-19 Safety Plan, in accordance to the NSW Government’s guideline, by implementing regular cleaning of the premise, physical distancing, providing telephone consultation (to limit physical interaction), as well as looking after the wellbeing of our staff.
Can I claim my treatment through Medicare or a private health fund?
Currently, acupuncture and Chinese medicine are not covered by Medicare but our clinic is facilitated by HICAPS and all our practitioners are registered with all private health funds. You will be able to claim part of your consultation fee, acupuncture fee, and others if the prescribed services are part of your private health fund’s benefit plan.
